Evidence sculpted by time consists of "Tenderness in the vastness", "Eternal water with Ripples" and "when the wind stops" these three chapters. A journey, a place, a sort of imagination, witnesses in time the mutual sculpting and shaping between us and the natural world. Chapter Ⅰ Tenderness in the vastness Starting from Beijing, Driving through the Hexi Corridor to the northwest, drivers are shocked by the changing landscapes coming into view, which raises my deep thinking. Over thousands of year, mankind have been keeping developing new landscapes in this land to attach their belief and resist the fear brought by the nature. Trudging through the long journey, one could arrive at those destinations existed in the world since ancient times and stand in the vast and mighty land to gaze those hints left by tiny lives in a certain way and appreciate a touch of tenderness in the desolated northwest China.
